About Bio-NEST
Established in 2021, Bio-NEST at Ahmedabad University is a bioincubator supported by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India.
Biochemistry Wet Lab

Bio-NEST Usage Policy Snapshot
- Facility timings are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The facility will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays and other public holidays as per the Ahmedabad University Calendar.
- All instruments need to be booked before usage, either offline through a log sheet or online through the booking portal. Usage charges will be levied as per the rate card.
- Access to any instrument is subject to its availability. Users must check instrument availability, functionality, and booking and cancellation terms before booking any instrument.
- Users will be allowed to handle instruments only after undergoing basic training. Usage of certain instruments may only be allowed under supervision. PPE such as a lab coat, gloves, safety goggles or other items required must be brought in by the user.
- Users are required to bring their own consumables. Generic items like plasticware and chemicals can be provided based on availability at extra charges as applicable.
Bio-NEST Rate Card
- Basic Instrument and Wet Lab Package - Rs. 7200/month (Rs. 500/day)
- Above package includes workspace for 2 team members with storage, basic instrumentation and microbiology lab
- Add-on packs for Cell culture@ Rs. 4800/month and Molecular biology@Rs. 3600/month
- Billing will be processed at the beginning of each month, on a monthly basis. We do not have a GST number.
